Make Do & Mend

Thanks to her mother's practical personality, the WWII restrictions in fabric consumption were already the norm for Ms. Reiter while growing up. Her mother was a homemaker who made the majority of the family's clothes. She made sure nothing went to waste, which did not fare well with Ms. Reiter's more decorative tastes. Listen as she tells us about her perceptions of her mother, their relationship, and how they bonded over sewing.
