The garments featured here represent the two most significant women in Mr. Richards' life, his wife and his late mother. Living in southern Delaware, Mr. and Mrs. Richards discuss the social norms and customs of their small town. At the same time, they reminisce about the styles of  Mr. Richards' two favorite women and how Mrs. Richards perceived herself, as a young girl, in her clothes.
